TechHub Bucharest – the community and workspace for tech entrepreneurs launches0 April 30, 2013 | Romanian Startups
After months of work and a period of “beta”, TechHub Bucharest (Romania) will fully launch on 9th of May this year, entering into a string of TechHub initiatives around Europe (Manchester, Riga, London).
TechHub creates spaces around the world for tech entrepreneurs to meet, work, learn and collaborate, and runs a load of great events, advice sessions and more. They provide physical and virtual spaces that enable technology startups to work smarter, develop faster and increase their chance of success.
TechHub is an initiative started by Elizabeth Varley and Mike Butcher (yes, the London Techcrunch writer). Mike Butcher himself will be present in Bucharest at the launch of TechHub Bucharest and will co-host with Daniel Dragomir (TechHub Bucharest co-founder and executive manager) and Bogdan Iordache (TechHub Bucharest and How To Web co-founder).
There will be special guests invited to speak also, among them Bobby Voicu (co-founder of Romanian startup MavenHut), George Lemnaru (co-founder and CEO of CarsCup and co-founder of eRepublik), Vladimir Oane (co-founder of uberVU), Andrei Pitis (business angel and president of ANIS), Radu Georgescu (business angel and founder of GECAD & Avangate), Mihai Sfintescu (partner at 3TS Capital Partners), Alex Marinescu (head of operations at Electronic Arts Romania), Dan Lupu (partner at Earlybird Venture Capital) and Teodor Ceausu (country manager at IXIA Romania).
Why Techhub came to Bucharest? Conferences and meet ups, international mindset, geography, low cost, talent, all these made Bucharest (Romania) a good choice for expanding the TechHub initiative. The place is located on Nicolae Filipescu Street, no. 39-41.
Good luck to them!
