CautaReduceri.ro was launched literally overnight, just when the daily deals market began it’s invasion on the romanian market in October 2010. At the time, only 4 daily deal sites existed so the site was pretty basic and it didn’t earn any revenue.
A couple of months later, the number of sites rose to 20 and CautaReduceri saw exponential growth, both in terms of traffic and revenue, since the first affiliate deals were signed.
Internet Corp acquired 50% of the business at a time where the profit margin was around 90%. One year later, the entire company was sold to Adulmec LLC, CautaReduceri’s main competitor, controlled by american founders.
