Marius Paraschiv

Co-founder of Beyond Fantasy Design Studio.
My name is Marius Paraschiv, I was born on the 6th August 1987, in Tulcea, Romania. I went to “Grigore Moisil” Theoretical High-School, in Tulcea. I always loved art, science and sports so I kept on getting better at all these since I’ve been in school. A good way for me to test my abilities was to participate at contests. So I attended Mathematics and Physics Olympiad and got pretty good results (3rd place to 8th place in my county) each year until graduation and I won a drawing contest named “Colinde Colorate” (I prefer the Romanian name for it).
In 2010 I graduated the Tehcnical University of Iasi, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering, IT Department. I had a few jobs as a Graphic Designer (or UX Designer) while I was studying in Iasi. My first job was a project based work-from-home type of job for VeryCreative Team who were based in Bacau and who had clients from US. After that, I had a 6h/day part-time(ish) job at SC Kabinet SRL who were developing business intelligence software and after graduation I had my first full-time job at SC RedPoint SA, that I liked most and inspired me in many ways.
In 2011 I founded my own company, Beyond Fantasy | Design Studio, so I quit my job and finish the paperwork, planning and finalizing other details. I also wanted to move in Bucharest in order to meet new people and make some connections that could be useful for my business development. A few months after that, I had an offer for a full-time job, at SC SIVECO Romania SA, which I accepted. Meanwhile, in my free time, I kept on drawing and studying and getting better at it.
In 2013 I quit my job and decided to invest all my time and energy in my personal projects. I attended business/entrepreneurship meetings in order to meet new people with great ideas and learn something from them. I also met Daniel Roxin and started a collaboration with him, in order to produce the documentary “The Thracians: A hidden history”. My job consisted in creating 3D characters (Dacian and Roman soldiers) and fight scenes for the documentary.
Besides my passion for drawing and 3d modeling, I kept on doing sports, getting out with my friends (because I think I am very sociable and fun:) ) and traveling, which seem to be very inspiring and very helpful in creating a more complex visual library from where I could get excellent ideas for future projects.
